Swedish government takes historic steps to improve residential life with better ventilation and filtration solutions

The budget measure basically marks the first attempt by the national government to formalize better ventilation and better indoor air quality (IAQ) as a way to protect public health. As a leader in clean air solutions, Camfil and the Swedish HVAC industry professional association Svensk Ventilation welcome this groundbreaking initiative.   The government plans to allocate SEK 16 million in 2018 and SEK 28 million over the next three years to raise awareness of the need for a good indoor environment in the home. Other budget actions include the establishment of a Healthy Housing Competence Center and follow-up to previous national energy use and indoor environmental surveys.

PM1: the smallest particle in the air

We all know that air pollution is harmful to human health. New research shows that the tiniest particles in the air are the most dangerous. To provide a healthy and efficient indoor air environment, focus on filtering particulate matter with a diameter of 1 μm (microns) or less-also known as PM1. Watch this video to learn more about PM1.

CLEAN SHELTER shelter with air purification system

The most obvious air quality problem in Sweden is the high concentration of large particles, PM10 and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which adversely affects health. In 2018, the Swedish government suffered setbacks in achieving its goal of reducing transport greenhouse gas emissions by 70% by 2030. Statistics from the Swedish Transport Authority show that due to the increase in truck traffic and the increase in carbon dioxide emissions per unit of passenger cars, emissions have risen without falling.   "I think most people will like to combine weatherproofing with air purifiers. This way, it will be more comfortable when waiting for a bus. I hope to see many people interested in using bus shelters with air purifiers, In terms of air quality in many cities around the world, this demand is huge, "said Per Saveborn, chairman of the Board of Team Tejbrant, a leading manufacturer of street facilities.
